Our Governance Board is a group of elected representatives from the community, parents, and staff, as well as appointed associate governors. They bring a range of skills, perspectives and knowledge that shape the running of St Martin’s Primary, working in partnership with Clare Giles, headteacher, and other leaders.
We are grateful for the knowledge and enthusiasm this group of volunteers provide as they oversee the strategic direction of St Martin’s Primary. They monitor our performance, covering a range of areas such as teaching and learning, finance, staffing, and strategic direction and operations, for the benefit of all our learners.
Our Governance Board meets three times per academic year. Throughout the year, they work to engage with pupils, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
Governor training is important, and regular training is provided for our Governors so that they can offer robust support and challenge across their broad remit.
